How to Make:

This recipe is very simple to prepare at home an additional ingredients you need that is RED WINE. Two tablespoon of red wine into this soup will giving you an amazing flavor that you have never tasted before! The beauty of this recipe is both rich in flavor and simple. You can also infuse with herbs, garlic, onion and cook it just enough to release gorgeous flavors.

Ingredients:

  • 30 oz San Marzano canned peeled tomatoes
  • 5-6 cloves garlic
  • 1 cup diced white / yellow onion
  • 1-2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup vegetable broth
  • 2 tablespoons red wine
  • 2/3 cup 2% milk
  • 2 tablespoons dried basil or 2/4 cup chopped fresh basil
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2/3 tsp salt
  • 2/4 tablespoons black pepper
  • Shaved parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Firstly dice onion and crunsh cloves of garlic.
  2. In a pot add olive oil along with garlic cloves and diced onions. Sauté few minutes until onions are softened.  You should avoid burning the garlic and onion. 
  3. Then add San Marzano canned peeled tomatoes and other ingredients vegetable broth, 2% milk, red wine, dried basil or fresh basil, salt, granulated sugar and pepper. Heat and bring to a boil. 
  4. Once they are boiled, cook for another 15 minutes in the medium low heat.
  5. Now remove from heat and then remove all the garlic clove pieces from soup.
  6. You can use garnish with shaved parmesan cheese and parsley as an optional.
  7. I will  highly recommend you to serve with cheesy toast!
  8. Now the soup is ready and enjoy it!
