Sweet and Sour Chicken:
A classic Chinese recipe perfectly seasoned chicken tossed in a tangy sauce, sweet, sour combine with crunchy veggies! Its crispy and absolutely juicy! You can easily serve with white rice or brown rice.
Sweet and Sour Chicken is one of the Popular Chinese Dish. In this dish the chicken is lightly coated with flour mixture, then panfried which is healthier than deep fried and finally tossed in a sauce that is so sweet, sour and tangy!!!
You can also add some veggies to give it the crunch and balance out some of that flavor and it is so YUMMY!
Panfrying Chicken:
For Panfrying the chicken all that you need to do is you have to coat the chicken in an egg mixture, then mix that with a corn starch or flour with salt mixture and then panfry then on a skillet.
When frying be sure that oil is hot and bubbly. Don't overcrowd the chicken and fry it in batches. Don't overcook the chicken because they are spongy and not yummy.

Sweet and Sour Sauce:
This sauce is not too sweet, not too sour. To prepare this sauce all that you need is tomato ketchup, soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, sugar and sesame oil. Firstly heat them you will get a solid, delicious sweet and sour sauce!!! To bring fruits flavor and texture to compliment Sweetand Sour Chicken you can use bell peppers, sweet onions and pineapple!

- 1 pound chicken breast
- 1/3 cup corn starch
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1/2 tablespoon salt
- 1 large egg
- vegetable oil
- 1 cup sliced onions
- 1 cup sliced bell peppers
- 1 cup pineapple pieces
Instructions:
- Firstly cut chicken into one-inch pieces. Pat dry.
- Use a flat plate or bowl, combine flour, corn flour and salt. In a bowl, whisk egg.
- Add chicken to egg mixture and coat well to mix. Then coat each piece of chicken with flour mixture.
- Now heat up large skillet with vegetable oil and make sure there is a thin layer of oil covering the entire surface of the skillet.
- When oil is heated up, add chicken pieces to skillet. Don't overlap or overcrowd skillet; cook in batches; If necessary cook under medium heat and cover it.
- Flip the chicken over once one side is cooked. Cover again if necessary. Don't overcook the chicken. These are cooked once the internal temperature reaches at 165 degrees F. Then remove all chicken from skillet and set aside.
- Use a paper towel to remove/wipe if the skillet has burned flour pieces from chicken off before proceeding.
- Again heat the skillet and add more vegetable oil if necessary. Once when the oil is heated up, add all bell peppers and onions to skillet and stir it; fry for about one minute under medium heat. Don't overcook the vegetables. The goal is to slightly soften all the vegetables so that it is not completely raw. After that remove promptly.
- Now add sauce ingredients to the skillet, stir and let it come to a boil. When it starts boiling then lower the heat and let it simmer for a minute or so, or until sauce thickens slightly.
- Bring all the cooked chicken, the cooked bell peppers, onions, and pineapple pieces back to skillet. Toss all chicken and all veggies with sauce. After that remove from heat promptly.
