PUMPKIN FRENCH TOAST STICKS


Prepare your favorite pumpkin french toast with in 15 minutes. Just collect the ingredients and follow the instructions. Drenched in pumpkin spice egg mixture and rolled in cinnamon sugar you will really love  these toast sticks in maple or buttered pecan syrup- yum!


INGREDIENTS:

  1. 1 loaf french bread or brioche and cut then into 1″ thick slices
  2. 4 large eggs
  3. ⅔ cup milk
  4. ½ cup pumpkin puree
  5. 1½ tablespoon vanilla extract
  6. 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  7. 1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice

FOR THE COATING:

  1. ¼ cup granulated sugar
  2. 1½ tablespoon ground cinnamon

DIRECTIONS:


  1. Firstly set a large non-stick skillet set over medium heat, then add a small amount of butter and melt. Or you can use a large griddle and butter once hot.
  2. In a small rectangular baking dish, whisk together the eggs, pumpkin puree, vanilla, eggs, pumpkin pie spice and cinnamon
  3. Into the mixture dip all the breads, flip sides and then place on the hot skillet or griddle. Cook about 2 minutes on each side until each side is golden brown
  4. After that, combine the sugar and cinnamon in a small rectangular baking dish,set aside.
  5. Remove the fully cooked french toast sticks from the skillet and immediately roll them in the cinnamon sugar mixture. 
  6. Serve these hot sticks with maple syrup or buttered pecan syrup.
