SAUSAGE STUFFED FRENCH TOAST ROLL UPS



Dusted with powdered sugar and drizzled in maple syrup, these sausage stuffed french toast roll-ups are most perfect for your breakfast!


INGREDIENTS:


  • 1. 8 maple, brown sugar or plain breakfast sausage links, fully cooked
  • 2. 8 slices sandwich bread (white, wheat etc.), crust cut off
  • 3. 2 large eggs
  • 4. 3 tablespoons milk
  • 5. 1/2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 6. 1/4 tablespoons vanilla extract
  • 7. 1 tablespoon unsalted butter

OPTIONAL TOPPINGS:

  • 1. Maple syrup
  • 2. Powdered sugar

DIRECTIONS:


  1. firstly Set up a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Then use a rolling pin, flatten each slice of bread.
  3. After that in a small dish, whisk the eggs, milk, cinnamon and vanilla together. Dip each piece of bread in the mixture, then place a sausage on the front edge of the bread and tightly roll up, pressing to seal the end.
  4. When sealing is done, place the butter in the preheated skillet, once melted, add the rolls seam side down. Cook for 2 minutes (or until golden brown) on each side, then turn and cook for 2 minutes on 2 more sides.
  5. Now remove from the heat and serve with syrup and/or powdered sugar, if you want!
  6. It's ready to fill up stomach!
